The end of another fantastic trip. Almost exactly 3 months to the day since we arrived in Quito, we're heading home. We left Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:15 PM and flew home via Sao Paulo, Houston, Newark, Toronto, and finally arrived in Winnipeg at 10:00 PM on April 9. There, waiting for us at the airport, was Alex! We had missed her so much. The next day she would celebrate her 20th birthday. It had been a great trip, but it was good to be home.
