Next stop? Hisoria Y Sabores, a family-run chocolate- and liqueur-making operation. While we wait for our short tour we visit with an Israel guy who is also doing the bike tour. He can speak English and Spanish, and since there is no English tour here, we think he'll come in handy. I ask him about what he thinks about the situation in Gaza. He's a little concerned. He's actually from the northern part of Israel, and he's already done 6 years in the army, including 2 in combat in Lebanon. He thinks the current unrest may spread to the Lebanon border eventually and if it does he's prepared to go back and do his part. Our tour lady comes to take us to the shop in the back – all the products are made in this little 'factory', and they are exotic products. Chocolate (imported) mixed with all kinds of liqueurs. Then back to the 'bar' where we are given samples of chocolates, then samples of chocolate liqueurs, then samples of jellies and jams. All very good. But we won't buy anything – too much to carry. We take a photo of the house before going back to the main road and carrying on with our tour.
