About half a kilometre from our apartment was a big Hardy's Supermarket. Since there were far too many interesting restaurants just outside our apartment and food was so cheap and so good, we always went out for supper. But we usually had breakfast (yogurt, toast and coffee) and lunch (sandwiches and a big cold beer) in our apartment. Hardy's had lots of selection and we were able to buy everything we needed there. They even sold clothing and sandals on the second and third floor! We'd often stop at Hardy's on the way back from one of our 'beach walks' just to pick something up. These girls who worked in the mall were just delivering their 'canang' (offerings) to the large stone Hindu shrine out in the parking lot.
