October 5, 2001 – Arrive Moscow

Early in the morning we pass through some of Moscow's outer suburbs including Rostov and Aleksandrov, and catch a glimpse of the gold domes of Sergiev Posad. After the train rolls into Moscow’s Yaroslavskiy, we disembark and say goodbye to what has been our home for the past four days. The longest leg of our journey is over. We will spend a few days in Moscow, then take one more train, this time to our final destination, St Petersburg.
