Trisna and Rudy's horses had a little more 'spunk' and needed to be reined in occasionally so they didn't take off on Sue.

Our local guide, David, had been to New York for about 5 years during his early adolescence as part of the "Make a Wish" charitable organization, which had offered David's family a trip to Disneyworld because David's younger brother was dying of cancer. David spoke excellent English, loved to guide tourists, and was a great horse rider. He also realized that life in Mongolia didn't offer him the opportunities he had experienced in America, and though he realized that it would be very difficult, he hoped that someday he would be able to emmigrate to the West.
