 As we pass through Burwalde and Nieder Chortitza, we become increasingly adept in recognizing buildings built by the Mennonites. The exacting high standard of the brickwork has ensured the test of time, and Victor points out the inferior quality of later modifications in roofs, paint cover and other general, pitiable changes made to these formerly remarkable structures.
