February 8 - Lima, Peru. At 5:00AM we arrived in Lima. We took a taxi to the Barranco suburb (supposedly safer than downtown), and got a room at a hostel called 'The Point'. Rooms were basic. Breakfast was buns with butter and jam and a cup of Nescafé coffee.
