February 7 - Bus from Guayaquil to Lima. After flying from the Galapagos back to Guayaquil, Ecuador for one night, we boarded an Ormeño (Royal Class!) bus for a 24 hour (US$55/person) ride to Lima, Peru. The first part of the drive was through Ecuador's famous banana plantations -- mile after mile of road lined on either side with banana plants.
