Our group consisted of five people: Anna and Graham from London, Sue and Rudy from Canada, and Sardis from Lima. The gentle rain stopped shortly after we began our 4 hour hike.
From Chachabamba the Inca Trail went south and climbed the hillside, entering some woods and crossing a small stream. The path then turned west and continued uphill leaving the woods for open grassland. The path was clearly marked.
