This was the Temple of the Sun, which we reached at the end of our climb up the terraces. Even in its incomplete state, the Temple of the Sun is amazing. There are six very impressive carved monoliths, among the finest in the Inca world. The monoliths originally had carvings on them, although these have now been destroyed.
