March 15 - We arrived in Asuncion and got a room at the Manduara Apart Hotel, not far from Plaza Uruguay. I was surprised how 'modern' Asuncion felt after spending the last two months in Peru and Bolivia. We spent the weekend in the hotel before heading up to the Chaco.
