The end of another perfect day. This is Alota, supper time. We all had warm showers. The other jeep had left all but two of its passengers at the border crossing into Chile near Laguna Verde. Jacco and Ronald were friends from Amsterdam. They joined Berndt, Sue, Amber, Ben, Monica, and me for soup and mush (corn, carrots, potatoes, etc. -- a concoction that was cooked so long even the flies didn't recognize it).
