A camping trip to the Canadian Maritimes and Eastern United States.

Friday, August 17, 2001 - Along both Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway you'll find lodges, cabins and campsites where you can spot deer, raccoons and black bear from your doorstep. Waysides (grills and coffee shops) offer souvenirs, fudge, ice cream and Southern specialties such as Virginia ham, blackberry cobbler and buckwheat pancakes. Drive slowly when you pull into the parking lot: curious deer have been known to walk right up to the cars.
