A Month in Guatemala

December 30, 2001 to February 4, 2002

Rudy sits in the courtyard, trying to find some sunshine to warm up in. The nights in Antigua were cool, and early morning Spanish classes were too cold for the clothes we had packed for this trip. The gurgling fountain was a pleasant sound that we grew to enjoy -- the early morning firecrackers that the Guatemalans set off to celebrate someone's birthday was a sound we NEVER learned to enjoy.
