The path from Oia to Fira (10kms) follows the edge of the caldera (cauldron-like volcanic bay in the middle of Santorini). It passes several churches and climbs two substantial hills along the way. We decided to hike the trail. We took the path in front of our hotel, leaving Oia behind.
