One of many highlights of our week in Rhodes: we went to a local mezo restaurant in our own village of Karlavarda. The front patio included almost exclusively old men, sitting and having coffee and raki. The waiter came and asked if we wanted drink or food. We ordered dinner. Greek salad, beans, fried eggplant, fried and battered vegetables, pork, and pomme frites. And a shot of ouzo to conclude the meal. If you look closely, you can see a couple of men playing cards inside. It was a fun and authentic Greek night.
