We fussed for much of the morning, packing up our wet tent and drying our gear in the campground dryers. Then we put bread bags over our shoes, got on our rain jackets, put the protectors over our bike packs, and headed out onto the highway. As it turned out, the shoulders weren't full of puddles and the southwest wind kept the spray from passing traffic from soaking us.
