North to Alaska - Summer 2002

A trip with our friends Ed & Val, sharing their motorhome.

July 5 -- Valdez, AK. The small town of Valdez is famous for a number of things. For one, the town was destroyed by the 1964 earthquake. Second, the Alaska Pipeline ends in Valdez, running from Prudhoe Bay. And third, the Exxon Valdez oil spill of March 24, 1989 when over 10,000 people showed up to clean up the mess.
