North to Alaska - Summer 2002

June 26 -- Alaska's Oil Pipeline. The pipeline stretches 789 miles long from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez. It crosses three mountain ranges and 70 rivers or streams. It took 3 years to build at a cost of over 8 billion US dollars.
