Thursday, November 07. Dawa I, our Sherpa guide and also the tour cook (on the left), provided us with many interesting meals. After Pema announced that tonight we would have chicken, I noticed the guides going out with a knife. A little later I happened to see them just outside our lodge, cleaning a couple of freshly killed chickens.
