Trekking in Nepal

November 1 to 11, 2002

Sunday, November 03. We departed from Kathmandu early in the morning, for the drive to Pokhara and beyond to Naya Phul where we would commence the trek. Our bus made frequent stops, including a stop for this herd of goats. The more than 6 hour bus ride was quite an experience. Winding through the countryside, our driver 'raced' and bounced the bus, taking it as a challenge to pass as many other vehicles as possible as he negotiated his way through the switchbacks and hairpin curves.
