Cambodia - Ruins at Angkor Wat

Friday, November 15. Rather than hang around Bangkok for the entire week before our Laos tour was to begin, we decided to take a short trip to Siem Reap in Cambodia to see the ancient ruins at Angkor Wat. Together with "Papa" Bernie from America, whom we met on our way to the airport in Bangkok, we hired a taxi to drive us around until we found a suitable hotel in Siem Reap. The Saphir Hotel ($30 US per night) was it.
