By the morning the toilets were so filthy that there really isn't any way to describe them. The washrooms were locked up about half an hour before we arrived at a stop, since they really were only a hole which 'flushed' onto the railroad below. Their cleanliness depended on how meticulously our train car's hostess/water boiler/maid/watchman took her responsibilities. |
