October 7, 2001 – Moscow

Inside the Kremlin walls, our first stop was the Armory Museum. The tour was conducted by our Moscow Intourist tour guide, Olga, and she kept it moving and added lots of interesting stories to the exhibits. We saw a large collection of court clothing - with much amazing pearl and silver embroidery. Catherine the Great's wedding dress was a particular highlight, though the corsetry involved to achieve that thirteen inch waist must have been sheer torture.
