October 7, 2001 – Moscow

We began the morning by driving around Moscow in our little shuttle bus. We saw the huge statue of Peter the Great with ships. The story is that the sculptor is a good friend of the mayor of Moscow. The statue itself is said to have originally been of Columbus but the head was switched when the U.S. rejected it.
