Early on during our stay, we were introduced to the warm hospitality of Graham and Paddy. Paddy is a photographer, and this was "Ladies Night Out". Paddy invited her regular group of women to a slide show up in her studio, followed by tea in 'the great house', and the new Canadians who were staying at Bird Cottage were invited to join them. The slides were mostly of Paddy's trips into Namibia and of the diverse flora and fauna of South Africa.
