We boarded a Garuda flight in Denpasar, Bali and had a pleasant 2:20 hour trip to Singapore. We arrived at the Bayview Hotel, checked in and showered before heading out for supper. It's Friday; that means pizza night. We walked along the street for a bit, past some food markets and sidewalk beer cafes. We sat down inside a small hole-in-the-wall pizza place and had a medium pizza. Early to bed.
It was raining when we got up Saturday morning, so we spent the morning in our room. In the afternoon we headed out for a walk down Orchard Street. It's the main shopping street in Singapore. For supper we went to the food market (Mary Corner) next to our hotel and each ordered a bowl of Tom Yum soup. Very hot – and spicy. We went for another evening walk. Maybe tomorrow it'll stop raining.
