Our last day in Franschhoek. We accompanied Paddy and some of her church ladies and an old bishop up to the 'black' squatter camp to deliver Christmas goodies. The church ladies had prepared 300 cream-puff treats and goodie-bags, but more than 500 children showed up. There was complete chaos, and in the end the bishop and a couple of the church ladies used switches to whip the kids into proper line-ups.
